Keepsake

The Keepsake system allows players to permanently preserve items as cosmetic overrides or stat-granting effects. It is split into two distinct modes that work independently of each other, giving full control over both appearance and performance.

A Keepsake Key is required to keepsake any item. Keys can be obtained from various drop tables and the in-game store.

How to Keepsake an Item

1. Obtain a Keepsake Key (keep it in your inventory).
2. Use the Keepsake Key on the item you wish to keepsake — or access the Keepsake Interface directly.
3. The item is permanently removed from the game and added to your Keepsake Interface.
4. Once keepsaked, the item is unlocked in both the Visual Cosmetics system and the Keepsake Effects system simultaneously.
5. To revert a keepsaked item, right-click it in the Keepsake Interface — requires a Keepsake Key in inventory and the cosmetic slot must not be in use.

Keepsaking an item is permanent. The original item is consumed and cannot be retrieved without reverting (which also requires a Keepsake Key).

Two Modes

1. Visual Cosmetics (Appearance Only)

• Purely cosmetic — no stats, no effects
• Overrides your character's appearance completely
• Takes full priority over all other appearance layers
• Use this when you want to look a specific way regardless of what gear you are actually wearing
• Ideal for fashion, role-playing, or maintaining a consistent look while swapping BiS gear

2. Keepsake Effects (Stat Bonuses)

• Grants 10% of the item's original stats while equipped as a keepsake
• Includes set effects and bonuses (e.g. Prophet set cosmetic multiplier, weapon set bonuses)
• Does not override your visual appearance — your equipped gear still shows
• Use this when you want passive bonus stats from old or valuable items

Priority System

Your character's final appearance follows this order:

This means you can:

• Wear your best BiS gear for maximum stats
• Apply Keepsake Effects for additional passive bonuses from old items
• Override everything visually with a cosmetic look you prefer

Shared Unlocks

Keepsaking an item once unlocks it in both systems. You do not need to keepsake the same item twice to use it in both Visual and Effects modes. However, each system uses its own independent equipment slots — you can mix and match setups freely between the two.

Set Effects via Keepsake

Certain item sets only activate their bonus when worn cosmetically via the Keepsake system. These are not active on normally equipped gear.

Note: Full set requirements for Prophet bonuses are: all 5 pieces of that season's set must be worn in the cosmetic slot simultaneously.

Keepsake Effects — Stat Bonus

When an item is equipped via the Keepsake Effects slot, it grants:

• 10% of its original base stats
• 10% of its original Drop Rate bonus
• Any applicable set effect or bonus (if the full set is keepsaked in effects slots)

Reverting a Keepsaked Item

Players can revert a keepsaked item back to its physical form:

1. Open the Keepsake Interface
2. Right-click the item you wish to revert
3. Select Revert
4. Requirements:
5. * A Keepsake Key must be in your inventory
6. * The item must not be currently in use in either cosmetic slot

Obtaining Keepsake Keys

Tips

• Always keep a spare Keepsake Key if you plan to revert items — reverting costs a key just like keepsaking does.
• Prophet set bonuses are cosmetic-only — you must have the items in your Visual Cosmetics slot for the damage multiplier to apply, not just owned or in your inventory.
• The Keepsake Effects slot is great for squeezing extra Drop Rate from old gear that has been replaced in your main setup.
• Use ::seteffects in-game to view which sets have cosmetic bonuses and what they require.
